Meldola Tour

From the picturesque square of Meldola, bordered by the stunning Aldobrandini colonnade, a path develops between the valley and the ridge. The Bidente river has seen visitors and pilgrims from every time pass by its shores, headed from northern Italy to Tuscany and Rome. Before crossing the wild ridge that separates the Bidente from the Voltre stream, the village of Cusercoli offers a glimpse back in history: the town is arranged around the medieval bastion, built as a barrier to the river waters. Legend has it built by the mythical Hercules, as the name suggests.
